Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be pepper spray caused injuries at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
The incident – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
