FC Barcelona Ready for Historic Match at Upgraded Camp Nou on Saturday
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition over two years after they moved out to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available but 45,401 spectators can be present based on approved permits. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach over 104,000 attendees, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel along with upgraded changing facilities.
Preparatory Events
Barcelona held a fan-accessible workout at the Camp Nou in early November. They mentioned they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
