Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Claims Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement Wednesday night stating they have knowledge of claims of abuse made public in social media posts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver the athlete and had been in contact with the NFL.
The organization did not mention Rice by name in their statement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who likewise did not name Rice by name, posted a series of photos on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. She stated the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the second round.

No official complaints were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
